Thankful Thursdays: Tiny bags & Storage Containers

When your child has the eating habits of a black hole, your life sanity may depend on having a wide array and almost endless supply of snacks.  Purchasing tiny, prepackaged child sized portions is one (more expensive) option.  Or, you could just buy some tiny child sized bags and storage containers.

Yup.  I'm thankful for tiny bags and storage containers.  They save my sanity and keep me organized because I AM that mom.  NEED. ORGANIZATION.  Plus, they are like the perfect toddler portion size and fit easily into your purse/diaper bag.  So feel free to buy that industrial size container of your child's favorite snack.  (For us that would be canned carrots and green beans and all the fruit in the produce section.)  And leave the giant container at home while you take the perfect portion with you.

What kind of simple things are you thankful for?  What makes your life a little more organized?

    1. Glad to know I'm not the only one with a ridiculous amount of snacks at any given time! You must have a serious mom bag for that.

  2. OMG you sound just like me! I drive the Hubs nuts because I'm always picking up the mini containers and smaller zip bags!

    1. Lol. I asked if I was driving my husband crazy yet ... he said a little. The bags and stuff pale in comparison to the other crap I do that drives him nuts.

  3. "I AM that mom. NEED. ORGANIZATION."

    This.Is.Me.

I am nothing if not organized. (At least I have that going for me...for now, anyway.)

I'm thankful for a lot of things! At the moment, I'm thankful that my son's water table beside me here on the deck is keeping him preoccupied, and that the 'ol standby -- the Fisher Price Rock-a-Stack -- is amusing my baby daughter...all so mommy can blog.;-)

It's the little things; it's the little things...

Thank you SO very much for stopping by my blog earlier and following via Google Friends. I really appreciate it.

    Have an awesome weekend!

    1. If only I could find that magical item that kept my daughter busy for more than five minutes! I love finding new blogs to add to my feed and sharing them with other people.

  4. I love little containers and since having children i have collected lots of them. I also save small glass jars to keep my stationary items in, like my paper clips and staples. I can see what is inside and I love to reuse items.

    1. I like being able to re purpose items too. Having children has really opened up my eyes to how much waste goes along with it. It feels really good finding ways to be able to cut down on that. Thanks for sharing.

  5. I don't use the tiny bags but I need to get them for myself. I desperately need a snack drawer at work so I stay out of junk. Thanks for the reminder!

    1. I think that might be my favorite part of using them. We can chose what to eat for a snack instead of trying to find something half decent while we are out.

    1. Ha ha ha, I don't know. She has a really healthy appetite and is willing to try anything (recently brussell sprouts) so that really helps. She prefers fruit, but I don't always offer that as a snack because of all of the sugar. My girlfriend told us about the "no thank you bite" where when they don't want something you ask them to take one no thank you bite before you offer something else (usually wait a few minutes before offering to see if they continue to eat it). Sometimes they'll decide they like it, sometimes not. Hope that helped, good luck!
